Central Government Demands IIP Data To The States
The Central Government told states to provide month-wise IIP data on the revised base of 2011-12. This data will help to compare state of the industries in different parts of India. It will also help to varify our total factory output. The states are told to give the data month-wise by the end of 2017-18.
The government has asked for the state-level IIP to be constructed on the revised base of 2011-12 when it has yet to prepare the national IIP series on the new base.
